Bob Ierien

Pastor

Pastor Bob is a native Texan and a veteran of the US Navy. His interests in ministry include preaching, teaching, study of Scripture, spirituality in daily life, and equipping others for ministry in the world. He is an avid woodturner and woodworker, a self-described history nut, a Star Wars geek, and an avid gardener. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 2004. He has served calls in Minnesota and Delaware, and has completed a residency in pastoral care at Lancaster General Hospital, where he served as a chaplain in critical care, emergency medicine, and palliative care settings. He is Rachel and Megan's dad and Gretchen's husband.

Karen Waddill

Director of Music & Interim Office Administrator

Karen joined the staff of Hamilton Park UCC in the spring of 2026 as the Director of Music. She previously spent eight years as the Director of Worship Music at St. Edward’s Episcopal Church and five years as the organist/pianist at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

Outside of Hamilton Park, Karen is on staff as an adjunct collaborative pianist at Millersville University, where she works with students in presenting recitals, juries, and master classes. She also collaborates with music faculty members in chamber music recitals. On occasion, Karen can be heard in the pit at The Fulton Theatre as a keyboardist or associate conductor.

Prior to living in Pennsylvania, Karen served as an artist affiliate for Emory University, and was on the accompanying staff of the Atlanta Opera Education Outreach Program, Georgia Perimeter College, and the Lyric Theatre of Atlanta. She holds a Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music from Manhattan School of Music (New York City), a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance from Wake Forest University (North Carolina), and she was a fellowship student at the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado for two years, studying with the renowned Robert Spillman. Karen also has extensive experience in musical theatre across the country, serving as either pianist, conductor, or associate conductor at theatres in Los Angeles, Colorado, Connecticut, and Atlanta.

Karen finds peace in the mountains and hiking, is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, and her greatest joy is being mom to her daughter, Jackson, who is currently majoring in creative writing at Susquehanna University.

Josh Beck

Technology Assistant

Josh is a 2026 Penn Manor graduate and is a very active member of the church. Josh is a talented baseball player, an Eagle Scout, and a Philadelphia sports fanatic. He currently works as a welder. For fun, he likes hanging out with his family and spending time with animals of any kind.
