Grocery store gift cards are giving a needed boost to our Community Meals Program. Gift cards are available in the Narthex. Participating grocery stores (Giant, Stauffer’s, and John Herr’s) donate 5% of all monies received to our mission budget. To date, $4,711.50 has been raised.
Our Loose change offering through February will benefit a Disabilities Awareness Initiative at Lancaster Theological Seminary. Jennifer Fair is spearheading the effort. Received to date: $47.22. To make a larger contribution, tax deductible, see Jennifer.
SNOW PLANS: Here is the procedure to follow on a snowy Sunday morning ….. If you wake up and it is snowing heavily, or has snowed heavily during the night, we will postpone worship until 10:30 a.m., to give us time to clear the sidewalks. If there is no 8 a.m. service due to weather, Sunday School will also be cancelled. Since there are lots of people who live in the neighborhood and can walk to church on a snowy Sunday, we expect to offer a 10:30 a.m. service unless the weather is extreme. If in doubt, just call the church at 397-9791.
NEEDED: Volunteers to help clear away significant snowfalls. If you are able to help, please sign up at either entrance, indicating the best way to reach you. If you are called and are simply not available for a particular weather event, just let the caller know.
BETTER THAN SNOW PLANS – SUMMER CAMP PLANS!
Brochures have arrived for the summer camp program at HartmanCenterand are posted on the bulletin board across from Pastor Jack’s office. Pick up a brochure or get a registration form on line. Hamilton Park Church will pay one half the fee for all children and youth campers. Just give registration forms and checks – payable to Hartman Center – to Pastor Cathy. Camper Stock will be sold in the spring to help offset costs. Hurry – early bird discounts end on April 30th!
Devotional literature for March/April is available in the narthex.
Attendance last Sunday: Sunday School (49); Worship (24/78 = 102)
